A Peek in My Sketchbook 12/7

As the year comes to a close there are a lot of projects to be wrapped up and plans to be made for 2018. It's been a busy time here but I've managed to keep sneaking in sketchbook time. Though I can't share everything I'm currently working on with you, I wanted to give you a peek into what I've been doing just for fun and to get warmed up this week!

I've been experimenting a lot with combining media lately. This is gouache and watercolor pencil.

I'm really loving this mixed media, busy look! It's a lot of fun t play with.

Several of these, including this one, were done on a flight while listening to an audiobook. This one was just one long crazy fill-the-page-with-plants party!

Just doing some simple patterns and enjoying the flow of gouache.

Doing this piece while on a bumpy flight meant goofing up and accidentally painting in her left eye. But that's how it goes--you just have to keep going and enjoy the process, and maybe make her winking at a fish so it makes sense...
